At HYCU, our mission has always been to deliver backup and recovery solutions that give our customers confidence in the face of growing cyber threats and regulatory requirements. Staying true to this mission, HYCU has achieved SOC 2 Type I attestation, strengthening our commitment to safeguarding customer data with industry-leading security standards.

What is SOC 2 Certification and Why It Matters for HYCU Customers

SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls 2) is widely recognized as the gold standard for data security in the SaaS and cloud industries. This standard is developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and it is designed to evaluate whether a company’s controls and processes meet the highest standards across five key trust principles: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy. In essence, SOC 2 certification attests to the fact that a vendor can securely manage customer data, protect privacy, and ensure operational resilience for its customers.

Being SOC 2 certified is a stringent process performed by an independent external assessor. It requires vendors to demonstrate that their security controls are designed to close every potential gap before a certification is awarded. For HYCU, this is more than just a checkbox, it’s a reinforcement to our commitment to security and the safety of our customers’ data.

The SOC 2 certification complements our already robust security and compliance posture which includes ISO 27001, CJIS compliance, and NIST 800-53. Besides being certified across various industry-leading security standards, our engineering practices follow a secure development lifecycle with:

  • Encryption of data at rest and in transit
  • Strong identity and access management with multi-factor authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Storage-level backup immutability to prevent tampering or deletion during ransomware attacks
  • Continuous internal and independent external audits to validate controls
  • Rigorous testing and continuous monitoring

Latest Certification Validates Industry-leading Security Posture

For HYCU customers, the SOC 2 certification provides validation that the controls we have in place are designed to protect your most sensitive data, ensuring that we meet the same benchmarks that the most security-conscious organizations in the world demand from their partners.
