Doesn’t AWS automatically back up my data?
No. AWS uses a shared responsibility model. AWS keeps the infrastructure highly available, but you the customer are responsible for protecting and recovering your data.
Do I need AWS billing rights?
No, all you need is your AWS Account ID. You can protect as many VMs/Instances as needed.
Will this store my data elsewhere?
No, we do not store or retain your data. You have complete control of your workloads and the underlying storage you choose to use. HYCU protects data on your existing storage infrastructure.
Is my data secure?
Only your account is the one which has access to your data. HYCU leverages only the native APIs to perform all of the effort and it doesn’t own any of your AWS account credentials. Since it uses only the AWS credentials, you can see all of HYCU’s actions right in your AWS account.
