Hawaii Gas Catches a DR Wave With HYCU Protégé for Google Cloud

Hawaii Gas was using HYCU to perform backups of its on-premises systems from one Nutanix stack to another stack, both co-located at an offsite data center. When the company implemented a new customer information system, the state Public Utilities Commission required that they develop a more robust disaster recovery (DR) plan. This opened the door to a cloud-based backup strategy, according to Hawaii Gas IT Director Yasin Alsagoff.
