Travel Guidelines & FAQs

All team members should plan on arriving Tuesday, March 11 before 11:00 am ET and departing on Friday, March 14. You will book your flight and the events team will arrange your hotel room at Mohegan Sun.

Please send your confirmed flight details, flight number, BOS arrival and departure time and receipt to sarah.duffy@hycu.com.

• ‍Am I responsible for booking my flight to/from Boston? ‍
  • Yes.
  • Flights should follow the date pattern of arriving on Tuesday, March 11 and departing on Friday, March 14.  

• Do I need a Visa or Passport?‍
  • Please check with your local government on eligibility and requirements for travelers to the United States.

• What if I need to arrive before March 11 or after March 14?
  • Travel outside of SKO dates requires executive level approval. Without approval you will be responsible for any costs outside of our event or travel booked outside of our flight booking process and dates.

• When should I plan my arrival for March 11?
  • Please plan on arriving at Boston Logan Airport before 11:30 am ET. Transportation will be leaving HQ for Mohegan Sun at 12:00 pm ET.

• When should I plan on my departure on March 14?
  • Please plan on departing Boston Logan Airport after 9:00 am ET.

• Am I responsible for booking my hotel accommodations? ‍
  • No, please do not book any hotel accommodations. Hotel rooms have been reserved for the entire team.‍

• Will HYCU arrange transportation on arrival to HQ? ‍
  • Transportation will NOT be provided on arrival to HQ. Please share an Uber or Lyft to the Boston office (27-43 Wormwood St Suite #650, Boston, MA 02210).
    ‍PLEASE NOTE: BOS is about a 5-10 minute commute to our HQ.

• Will HYCU arrange transportation to Mohegan Sun?
  • Yes, transportation will be provided from HQ to Mohegan Sun on Tuesday, March 11.  
    ‍PLEASE NOTE: Departure time will be around 12:00pm ET.

• Will HYCU arrange transportation back to BOS airport?
  • Yes, transportation will be provided back to Boston Logan airport on Friday, March 14, departing at in early morning. PLEASE NOTE: Mohegan Sun is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from BOS airport.

• Will I need a Credit Card to check in to the hotel?
  • Yes, you will need a credit card and a valid ID. Your room and tax will be covered; however, you will be responsible for any incidentals.

• When does SKO begin?
  • The event will begin on Tuesday, March 11 with a Welcome Keynote at 2:00 pm at Mohegan Sun.

• Will I need to bring a laptop?
  • Yes, please bring your laptops and phones so that you can handle any necessary business. The hotel guestrooms and conference rooms will be equipped with Wifi.

• What is the dress code?
  • Business casual/smart casual is recommended for all meetings and activities. The weather in Connecticut average daily high temperatures increase from 43°F to 53°F.

• Are spouses/guests welcome to join any portion of the event?
  • No, spouses or guests will not be allowed to join any portion of SKO.

• What can I expense?
  • All other meals during the event will be provided Tuesday, March 11 – Friday, March 14. Any meals outside of what is provided will not be reimbursed by the company. Please ensure you are following our standard expense policies. All expenses must be submitted through Expensify.

• Are we going to the office?
  • Yes, if traveling please plan on arriving to the Boston office on Tuesday, March 11 for transportation to Mohegan Sun.
