Did you know that OMS for Nutanix now runs on Microsoft Azure?

November 19, 2018

HYCU OMS Solution for Nutanix provides an incredibly simple, fast way to monitor and perform event and log analytics, using Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS).

With the Retirement of OMS Portal, What Next?

This year Microsoft made the decision to add all OMS portal capabilities to the Azure portal to consolidate and streamline the monitoring and management workflow. All features of OMS portal are now part of the Microsoft Azure Monitor and while none of the services that were part of OMS have changed, the OMS portal will be officially retired on January 15, 2019.

What’s Next for OMS Users?

Microsoft offers a range of new monitoring and analytics capabilities in Azure, bringing together application and infrastructure monitoring within Azure Monitor.

Azure Monitor, which now includes Log Analytics and Application Insights, provides sophisticated tools for collecting and analysing telemetry that allows you to maximize the performance and availability of your cloud and on-premises resources and applications. Azure Monitor collects data from different monitoring tiers, such as Applications, Guest OS and Azure resources. It helps you understand how your applications are performing and proactively identifies issues affecting them and the resources they depend on.

How Azure Monitor Users Can Gain While Using Nutanix

There are no additional actions required for any user of OMS for Nutanix. If you are already using the solutions on the OMS portal, you can continue using them on the Azure portal. You can find your workspace within your Azure resources, and pin the solutions to your Azure dashboard for easier access.
